The famous colours of Professor Caroline Tisdall are well known across the National Hunt scene. She has had some great success over the years in the UK including victories at the Cheltenham Festival. We found a cracking statistic that could be worth following this week. Caroline has a whopping 44-per-cent strike rate at Newbury in the past five years. She will saddle just one runner to post at the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival and it will run on Friday. Make sure you keep one eye on our Newbury tips this weekend as we are in scintillating form at present. You can follow us @myracingtips on Twitter.

3.35 Newbury on Friday

David Pipe is no stranger to racking up a long winning sequence with a runner. He is already working wonders this season with Main Fact, who landed his ninth race on the trot last weekend. That horse is now firmly in the Stayers’ Hurdle picture for the Cheltenham Festival in March. With that in mind, we move on to Professor Caroline Tisdall’s runner on Friday, DELL’ ARCA.

The now 11-year-old may have left his best days behind him but he arrives to Newbury on Friday seeking a hat-trick of wins. This boy was 5th in a Coral Cup and was placed in an Aintree Grade 1 back in 2014. It has been a long time since he reached those dizzy heights, but he is now very well treated and could have a cracking campaign this season.

He had a very busy summer, down the field at Uttoxeter twice and once at Ffos Las between July and October. The switch back to hurdles off a reduced mark sparked major improvement when he bolted up at Aintree last month. He carried on that fine form when winning over course and distance earlier this month. He is only up six pounds so he may well score again.
