Owen’s ITV Outsiders! 28/1, 25/1 and 22/1 Each Way Horse Racing Tips

Champ wins the Berkshire Novices' Chase

Saturday brings us some incredible jumps racing! Newcastle is one of the venues to top the billing, hosting the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle, the first top-class race for the hurdlers.

Newbury is the other track in the hot-seat, with the Ladbrokes Trophy their feature contest. Perhaps the biggest staying handicap of the season, it can give Gold Cup hints. We’ll have horse racing and ITV Racing tips for all the feature action!

If you’re a fan of the bigger prices, then I’ve got a treat for you! Plenty of competitive races give me the chance to find some bigger-priced fancies and you can take advantage of them with bet365, with details of their ITV 4/1+ Offer below!

1.50 Newbury – Colonial Dreams (22/1)

He was very disappointing in two starts last season, but Colonial Dreams is surely capable of better for his top connections. He looked highly promising in 2018/2019, including an impressive victory at Sandown in a competitive heat off five pounds lower.

Both his starts since have been well below that standard, proving too keen on both occasions and weakening late on. He can go well fresh and with a year to mature, you’d hope that he may be more relaxed this season.

If he’s able to drop his head this season, this mark is well within range. He’ll have his ideal conditions and he’s certainly not one to write off just because of last season’s disappointments.

3.00 Newbury – Beware The Bear (28/1)

Finishing fourth in this race twelve months ago, Beware The Bear looks a huge price to go close again twelve months on for Nicky Henderson. A quirky stayer, he has bundles of stamina, as proven by Henderson’s omission that he’ll be campaigned towards the Grand National.

He was seen on just two occasions last season, reappearing in the Ladbrokes Trophy, as he is today. Ridden along a fair way from home, he kept grinding away and was beaten just two lengths. His sole subsequent run came over hurdles at Cheltenham, where he ran a fair race given the race didn’t go his way.

With plenty of pace entered, he’ll get his ideal scenario, an end to end, relentless gallop. He races off the same rating as twelve months ago and he should be flying at the death under Jeremiah McGrath.

3.15 Newcastle – Charmant (25/1)

A twenty-three length winner at Wetherby over 2m 3f last season, the step up in distance can help matters for Charmant. James Ewart’s charge was pulled up at the Festival subsequent to that Wetherby run, but he was set a very tough task all things considered.

He was entitled to need the run on return at Wetherby last month and should come on markedly for that effort. Dropped five pounds by the handicapper since, a step up to the 2m 7f distance today really shapes as though it’ll suit, especially on a better surface.

Still lightly-raced over fences, he looks to have an excellent each-way chance under the Champion Jockey, Brian Hughes.
