‘No one knows the track better’ – 389/1 Saturday ITV horses for courses treble

Haydock - Pea Shooter

There are many factors to consider when trying to pick out winners and course form is an important one. Every horse and every track is different so some perform better at certain courses than others. ITV are televising seven races live from Haydock and Musselburgh on Saturday so we’ve picked out three horses with proven track records and combined them into a juicy treble. Go ahead and check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

1.50 Musselburgh

Zowal (11/2, Boylesports) is the only runner in the field to have run at Musselburgh before and he was a comfortable winner of a maiden here earlier this month. Making his first start in handicap company here, it could be significant that the handicapper has left his mark alone. He’s entitled to come on for the run and there could be any amount of improvement still to come.

2.25 Musselburgh

Gweedore (13/2, Boylesports) is a five-time course winner and no one knows this track better than him. Clearly competitive off this mark, he won a similar race over course and distance by a comfortable margin back in April 2023. Katie Scott’s runner has only failed to make the frame twice in 14 starts at Musselburgh and having finished second here last time, he should go close again off the same mark.

3.35 Musselburgh

Wise Eagle (7/1, Boylesports) has a formidable course record, with four wins and a second in five starts on the Flat, and even won here over hurdles. He won this very race last year, off a 5lb lower mark, and his best form suggests victory is by no means out of the question here.
