Massive gamble going down at Brighton as runner backed from 20-1 into 5-1

Our resident horse racing expert Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty large ongoing gamble taking place in the 8.35pm at Brighton tonight. Don’t miss out on our posts on Twitter @myracingtips where you can message us directly and have your say. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in terrific form this month. Let’s take a closer look at this big gamble in more detail below.

8.35 Brighton

The final race on the card at Brighton tonight is a Class 6 handicap over 6f and the ground is currently good, good to soft in places. Marco Botti’s Million Reasons has been backed from 20-1 all the way into 5-1 for this race which is a hell of a gamble.

It takes more than just a small few quid to shift the horse in the market to that extent. Million Reasons is a three-year-old Mehmas gelding who was well backed at Yarmouth last time out.

Sent off a 7-2 chance on that occasion, he travelled well for a long way over 7f but didn’t seem to see out the trip. The drop back to 6f is a wise choice by connections and he drops from a 0-65 down to 0-60 company, an easier assignment.

The handicapper has given this horse a major player, dropping him a total of 11lb from when he raced off 73 on his handicap bow last year. With low mileage on the clock, it is only a matter of time before he wins and it could well be tonight. Everything looks set for a huge run.
