The 2019 Qipco Champion Stakes winner is back to defend her crown. She arrives off the back of her most impressive performance of the season, beating Ghaiyyath in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown. It was soft ground when she was successful in 2019 so she will have no issues with these conditions and over her perfect trip of ten furlongs should take plenty of stopping.

Unquestionably the top stayer in recent years, Stradivarius has won 16 of his 25 career races which has included seven at Group 1 level. He arrives off the back of a solid run in the Arc over a trip that is not far enough for him. He went under by a nose in this race last year having won it in 2018. Three wins in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot have made him the best stayer of his generation by quite some margin.
