ITV Outsiders: Liam Bramall is keen on a 25/1 shot at Kelso on Saturday

We have a bust Saturday on our hands this week, with plenty going on and 10 races set to be televised on ITV. This means we’re back with our usual feast of outsiders from Kelso, Newbury and Doncaster. Liam Bramall likes the look of a couple of 25/1 shots up at Kelso, including Lucinda Russell runner in the Grade 2 novice hurdle. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.55 Kelso

Jet To Vegas (25/1, bet365) finished second a couple of times over hurdles before getting off the mark at the third time of asking. That success at Ayr last time out came by a comfortable margin and it appears that Lucinda Russell’s six-year-old is on the upgrade. Obviously more will be needed but further progress is anticipated and he should be capable of making the frame.

3.15 Doncaster

We’ve tipped Weveallbeencaught for this race but stablemate Undersupervision (20/1, bet365) shouldn’t be underestimated either. Beaten by a neck in this race back in 2023, surely he can run a big race, now on a 5lb lower mark. James Turner takes a further 5lb off and his best form suggests he’s a major player.

3.30 Kelso

Milldam (25/1, bet365) faces a step up in class here but his latest performance in particular suggests he’s ready for it. Jamie Snowden’s seven-year-old won comfortably off a 7lb lower mark at Haydock last time out and the form has received a couple of boosts since. Ben Jones is Britain’s most in-form jockey so it’s a positive that he takes the ride.

3.45 Newbury

Beau Balko (20/1, bet365) is an admirably consistent performer, despite the fact that he often finds one too good. Paul Nicholls’ gelding won cosily at Wincanton in November and has been competitive off this mark since. Finishing second here twice already this season, there’s every reason to believe he’ll run his race once again.
