ITV Outsiders: In-form tipster fancies 20-1, 18-1 and 16-1 shots at Lingfield 📺

Hugo Palmer in celebratory mood

All seven races from the second Racing League meeting at Lingfield on Thursday are live on ITV. After a massive 40-1 winner in our Saturday article, we’re back with three more overpriced runners. This includes two Hugo Palmer-trained runners who could facilitate a profitable evening. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

7.10 Lingfield

Red October (18-1, bet365) is down to a mark which is just 1lb higher than when winning over course and distance last August. One major concern would be the 322-day lay-0ff although that looks likely to have been factored into his price. That victory came in a Racing League event and the form was boosted subsequently. The fact that Hugo Palmer is starting him off in this race suggests he may well be plenty sharp enough.

7.40 Lingfield

Noman (20-1, bet365) has been disappointing in his last two starts which explains his price. However, he’s a better horse than he showed at Windsor on soft ground last time. He’s lightly raced on the all-weather with just two starts and one win to his name. Now that he’s only 2lb higher than when winning at Leicester in April, we can expect better here.

8.10 Lingfield

Gordon’s Jet (16-1, bet365) is incredibly lightly-raced on the flat for a six-year-old. Brian Ellison’s gelding has had just four starts on the level, winning once. Stepping up to two miles for the first time looks likely to suit as he’s a hurdle winner over 2m4f at Sedgefield. Could be unexposed and we should see some improvement.
