ITV Outsiders: 50/1, 28/1 and 16/1 tips on All-Weather Championships Day

Horse racing is in Liam's blood and his biggest passion is jumps racing. He can often be found at his favourite tracks; Chepstow and Cheltenham in the Autumn when the National Hunt action kicks off. 3.15 Lingfield

Barenboim (16/1, Paddy Power) was a little disappointing over 1m4f at Southwell last time out but his narrow third to Spartan Army over course and distance last time out was a much better effort. David O’Meara’s gelding isn’t always the most consistent but he’s got plenty of ability on his day. A return to form may well be on the agenda here.

4.10 Newcastle

Base Note (50/1, bet365) has some rock-solid recent form in Listed races, despite being a bit below-par in handicaps the last twice. The handicapper has responded accordingly and his current mark is just 3lb higher than his last winning one. Probably not the best handicapped horse in the world, he’s still capable of making the frame at a huge price.

4.40 Newcastle

Tropez Power (28/1, William Hill) appears to have been in the grip of the handicapper recently but the five-year-old has now fallen to a mark of 89. He was a narrow second over course and distance off a 2lb higher mark in March 2023 and should be competitive on that evidence. There were signs of a return to form at Southwell last time out and he can outrun these odds.
