ITV Outsiders: 40-1, 40-1 and 25-1 tips to spice things up on Saturday 🌶️

There’s some super-competitive racing action on ITV this Saturday. ITV are televising five races from Sandown and three from Wincanton. The big race of the day is the Grade 1 Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown. With plenty of each way opportunities on offer, we’ve selected a 40-1 shot for the big race. 2.25 Sandown

Ukantango (40-1, Paddy Power) is already a prolific winner throughout his short career so far. A winner of three of his four rules starts, he retains plenty of potential. His only defeat came in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham, where he finished second by three-and-a-half lengths. This is a massive price and there are plenty of runners at shorter prices who have achieved far less.

3.00 Sandown

Chambard (25-1, Paddy Power) was in the form of his life last season and that culminated in a huge win at Cheltenham. Terribly out of sorts on seasonal debut, he never looked happy and didn’t perform with any zest. It’s likely he’ll improve for the run and if returning to form, this could be a massive opportunity in veteran company. Lucy Turner takes the ride again and the pair have a terrific record together.

3.35 Sandown

Band Of Outlaws (40-1, William Hill) hasn’t been seen over hurdles since July 2021. Another Cheltenham Festival winner, he scored off 139 in the 2019 Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle. Ben Haslam does a good job with JP McManus’ quirkier horses but he does have a lengthy lay-off to overcome. Last time he ran in a handicap hurdle, he finished third in the Galway Hurdle off a 3lb higher mark. This much easier race represents a massive opportunity off 142.
