‘It would be a fairytale result’ – 66-1, 66-1 and 33-1 ante-post Grand National tips 🌟

The Aintree Grand National Festival is fast approaching and is now less than two weeks away. Connections will be looking to solidify their Grand National plans from now on. With this in mind, we’ve selected three outsiders for the big race that could outrun their massive odds. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

Mister Coffey

Admittedly Nicky Henderson’s gelding didn’t get up the hill when a comfortably beaten third in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last time out. That is perhaps a cause of concern with more than four furlongs further to go here. However, they may have got the tactics wrong that day and they made too much use of him. More patient tactics could be employed this time and he can finish with more zest as a result. The sticky ground was hard work the last day and that certainly wouldn’t have helped.

Back On The Lash

One thing this horse has an abundance of is stamina. Martin Keighley’s charge has won two races on the cross country course at Cheltenham. Tiger Roll has shown us how well the form of those races transfers across to the Grand National and Back On The Lash is almost guaranteed to stay. It’s likely that he’ll get in as he only needs a few to come out. He has a lovely weight for a horse with such solid form over marathon trips and as a nine-year-old, he’s within the ideal age bracket.

Lifetime Ambition

This would be a fairytale result for Jessica Harrington and her charge could be an interesting contender. Lifetime Ambition ran a big race over this course when fourth in the Grand Sefton back in November. That was his first start since April and he was entitled to need the run. Following that up with a second in the Troytown at Navan, connections then ran him in a couple of graded races to protect his mark. Warming up for this with a solid run over hurdles last month, Harrington will have him primed for the day.
