‘I reckon he’s really smart’ – Four Willie Mullins dark horses for your trackers 🐎

Wille Mullins has some decent chances on opening day.

It’s stable tour season and the one everyone has been waiting for has arrived. Willie Mullins’ Racing Post stable tour came out on Monday and there’s plenty to get excited about. We’ve picked out four of the dark horses he nominated that you may want to add to your horse trackers. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

‘We’re looking forward to him’

Blood Destiny perhaps didn’t quite live up to expectations last season. That could be about to change, according to his trainer. Mullins said: “This guy goes novice chasing. Last season he was doing some of the best work of any of our juveniles mid-season, but he just didn’t follow it through on the track. I think fences will bring out the ability we were seeing in him here last season. We’re looking forward to him.”

‘A beautiful horse, a really nice type’

Indiana Dream missed the rest of the season after winning his maiden hurdle on New Year’s Day and he could be in for a big year. His trainer said: “A beautiful horse, a really nice type who we like. Hopefully we can get a clear run with him. He had the smallest of setbacks after he won his maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day, but it still ended up ruling him out for the rest of the season. I’d imagine he’ll go novice chasing.”

‘She looks above average’

Kargese is another French import and Mullins is expecting plenty from her this season. He said: “She looks above average on what we’ve seen from her, a really nice filly. She already has plenty of experience and good form in the book in France. She could be one for the Triumph Hurdle, or even maybe the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.”

‘I reckon he’s really smart’

Salvador Mundi finished second on his sole start in France and his trainer is very excited. Mullins said: “I reckon this is a really smart juvenile hurdler. I gave him a break and he’s in pre-training with a view to coming out around Christmas time. I think he has every chance of being a Triumph Hurdle contender. I’m looking forward to him.”
