Gordon Elliott is always all the rage at Perth and he has an exceptional strike-rate at the track. The Irish handler has four big chances at the Scottish track on Friday and we have put them into an accumulator.

1.30 Perth

Laffite is being turned out quickly again after a disappointing effort here at Perth on Wednesday. He was pulled up but it was his first ever crack at 2m4f and he simply did not stay. Now dropping back to two miles, he has to enter the reckoning. He was second over this trip at Wexford in March and should put in a bold bid.

2.05 Perth

Gordon Elliott is double-handed in this small field handicap but it is his recent Ayr scorer Platinumcard who should be up to winning again. The seven-year-old was a four-time winner on the Flat and given he was rated 100 on the level, he still looks really well treated over jumps now off 111.

3.45 Perth

Smoking Gun got no further than the first in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Monday so a line can be drawn through that effort. The nine-year-old finished eighth in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham in March and he finished in front of the Irish National winner Lord Lariat when the pair met at Fairyhouse in February. He could be well treated.

4.53 Perth

Gun Runner Cash is a very likely type, at least on paper. The debutant is a well bred son of Jet Away and is a half-brother to Ballinsker who is a very useful staying hurdler and chaser. He won’t have to be a superstar to win this bumper at the first time of asking.
