‘How on earth is she 14-1?’ – Adrian Wall fancies one at Wolverhampton to run well 🏇

Wolverhampton Racecourse

As freezing temperatures swarm Britain and Ireland for the next week or more, the all-weather meetings will become far more lucrative from a punting perspective. On Saturday, Wolverhampton Racecourse has a decent card and Adrian Wall has picked out one at juicy odds. He thinks that this filly is far too big a price to be ignored at odds of 14-1.

The 0-90 rated Class 3 handicap over 7f is one of the best races of the day on the all-weather. It would be no surprise if Roger Varian’s top weight Manaafith was a class above her rivals. She won a better handicap than this at Kempton in September, but she does need to bounce back from a terrible run in Listed company at Newmarket.

At the current prices, the horse that interests me the most is the Adrian Keatley horse Dungar Glory, who will only have 8st 9lb on her back. Receiving 15lb from the favourite, this course and distance winner has been gradually falling down the weights and is now only 1lb higher than when successful at Ripon in August, although that was of course on turf.

Dungar Glory ran very well at Kempton just three days ago, finishing third of the five runners. She ran well for a long way over the mile trip and just got ran out of it in the final furlong. The drop back to 7f will be right up her street and with a solid claimer aboard, she is weighted to run a big race, while she will also appreciate this larger field too. Best of luck if you have a play.
