He is up 5lb in the weights for that, which might not be close to enough to prevent the follow-up victory. This could turn into a tactical little affair but the horse tends to do very well in small fields.
A drop into Class 6 company did the trick for Never Said Nothing who won a six-runner race over track and trip at the start of the month and the five-year-old remains in the same grade. Now running in a seller off the back of his handicap victory, he should be hard to beat under Philip Prince. The biggest danger is likely to be Across The Nile, who he beat last time out and will have Hollie Doyle aboard.
Nate The Great battled hard all the way to the line when second at Kempton over this distance in December. That was his best run in a long time so there will be hope that there should be even more improvement to come for a top handler.
