‘He’s unstoppable here’ – four William Buick rides form Lucky 15 on Friday ☘️

Golden Horn

William Buick thrives at Newmarket and has been unstoppable round here so far this season. He currently boasts a strike-rate of 44 per cent and considering the quality and competitive nature of racing at HQ, this is outstanding. On this evidence, you have to consider every horse he sits on so Liam Bramall has picked out four of his seven rides to consider putting into a Lucky 15 on Friday evening. 5.15 Newmarket (July)

William Buick has formed a fruitful partnership with George Boughey in the last couple of seasons. The pair combine here with debutant Pureness (6-1, bet 365). She wasn’t a cheap purchase at 170,000 guineas so connections will be hoping the filly is a smart prospect.

7.35 Newmarket (July)

Auditor (10-3, William Hill) was fourth in a warm race at Sandown over 7f last time out. If building on that effort he should have a strong chance here. His last win came in maiden company at Windsor in July. That was an impressive performance when scoring by four lengths and it hinted at more to come. The handicapper is beginning to relent and his slide down the handicap can result in a big run.

8.10 Newmarket (July)

Origintrail (9-4, William Hill) is on a hat-trick having won her last two starts and she’s incredibly lightly raced with just four career starts to her name. Having won at Chester on handicap debut last time, you would like to think she can progress from that and win again despite a hefty 7lb rise.

8.45 Newmarket (July)

Aeonian (15-8, William Hill) is another one with a lightly raced profile. This son of Ulysses has had just three career starts to date. He wasn’t beaten far on handicap debut at Lingfield last time and should improve for that experience. Returning to the turf could also suit.
