Britain and the Doncaster area in particular was hit with a deluge of rain during the week, and it doesn’t look like the track will dry out in time. With that in mind, the going is going to be soft, heavy in places at Doncaster on Saturday for Lincoln day. We take a look at the horses who should relish these conditions at decent prices. You can find all of Saturday’s free horse racing tips on the website.
Isla Kai just failed to get into the Lincoln but as a consequence will now be the class act in the Spring Mile. He was third of 30 at York to end last season and is two from two on soft ground in his career, so everything looks set for a huge run on his return to action. He has can a frustrating horse but always runs a solid race and he looks worth an each way play in this.
Commanche Falls is ground versatile but certainly doesn’t mind the mud, and he can make his presence felt in this Listed sprint. He is a tough horse who landed the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood for second year running last season. He was below par when down the field over course and distance in November but he has an excellent record fresh and could win this.
Migration has a big ask at the weights as he must carry top weight in the Lincoln. However, if they go hard enough up front, this lad will be finishing his race off to very good effect. He handles soft ground very well and top claimer Benoit de la Sayette has been booked for the ride.
