The ITV cameras return on Friday and they’re set to show seven races from Sandown and Perth. It should be an enthralling day of action and we’ve picked out three horses that may have been overlooked in the betting. These include a massive 33/1 tip for the Sandown’s Classic Trial that is thoroughly unexposed. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Dark Vintage (14/1, bet365) is absolutely fascinating on British debut here, having come over from the US. He was victorious in a maiden at Del Mar back in August and did it in a good time also. Second in Listed company next time, it’s hard to know what to make of this mark but he has to be of interest at this sort of price. Even if today isn’t his day he very much could be one for the tracker.
Forcing Bull (18/1, William Hill) absolutely bolted up in a couple of novice races at Sedgefield in March of last year. Those victories came on soft ground so he should appreciate the underfoot conditions here. Donald McCain’s gelding struggled a little in two subsequent efforts but his current mark of 117 looks competitive. Having not been seen since November, he should be a good deal fresher than most of his rivals.
Prince Rasam (33/1, Paddy Power) is really interesting in this Derby trial, having had just the one start to date. Getting off the mark at the first time of asking, it was an eye-catching performance at Chelmsford in September. It’s worth noting that the form has been given a boost, with the second subsequently finishing fourth in the Group 1 Futurity Trophy and scoring impressively at Windsor the other day. This horse really could be anything and he’s worth giving a go here.
