‘He can make amends for his defeat’ – Beverley horses for courses treble

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. Evocative Spark is a course and distance winner who was second here on his only other try here, so the son of Frankel clearly enjoys the track. He was a huge eyecatcher over 7f at Chester when last seen, flying home at the death to nab third. He might have won if he had a better draw. Drawn in 13 on the day, it was always an uphill task but he ran a cracker. The draw in 10 here isn’t ideal either but he’s handicapped to win.

3.10 Beverley

Beltane finished second over this course and distance two weeks ago, and has to enter calculations again off just 1lb higher. The son of Fast Company has solid form figures around here which read 231632, and he was backed into favourite last time. He can make amends for his defeat here latest.

3.40 Beverley

Josiebond won over course and distance off a mark of 53 last summer, and now running off a lowly mark of 48, she has to enter the reckoning. She was a never nearer fifth over 7f at Catterick latest and will appreciate the step up in trip.
