Gamble alert: Newcomer backed from 16/1 into 5/1 at the Curragh on Sunday

Our resident horse racing man Adrian Wall has always been an avid market watcher. He has spotted a pretty large ongoing gamble taking place at the Curragh Racecourse today. Our free horse racing tips are also available every single day and we have been in good form the past month. Let’s take a closer look at the big gamble in more detail below.

1.25 Curragh

It’s Tattersalls Gold Cup and Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas day at the Curragh so there’s no shortage of top class action, but the opening 6f fillies’ maiden has seen a big market move for a newcomer of Fozzy Stack’s with Seamie Heffernan appointed for the ride.

Grande Marques, who was as big as 16/1 this morning, is now only 5/1 biggest and 7/2 in places, so someone out there thinks this girl is going to run a huge race on her debut.

A well bred Starspangledbanner filly, she is a full sister to Bubbles On Ice who was a winner over 1m1f in America, and is also a sister to mile winner Fizzical. Related to plenty of other winners, she certainly has a pedigree that catches the eye anyway.

Stack is well known for being able to ready a newcomer and when the money is down on one from the yard, it is seldom left behind. There will be plenty of challengers, however. Aidan O’Brien has a strong hand with Naas second Heaven’s Gate, while his other runner January has a beautiful pedigree.

Jessica Harrington’s Cold Hearted also looks a likely type. She finished her race off well when third at Naas on her debut.
