Le Beau Garcon was selected by our expert tipster at 9-1 on Wednesday afternoon as part of an each way double. This sustained market support since then has seen a complete capitulation of its price. It can now be considered a win only proposition and we hope some of you got on at the bigger price.

The return to 5f looks likely to suit this gelding as his finishing effort petered out in the final furlong over six last time. It seems as if the handicapper took note as he dropped him 2lb for that effort. Before that, he made a promising seasonal debut when a very unfortunate second at Musselburgh. Having been badly hampered at the start, he did well to recover and perform as he did under the circumstances.

Michael and David Easterby’s charge was a useful and consistent juvenile in the last campaign. In three starts, he failed to finish outside of the first two and won twice. The form of his win on at Redcar has worked out exceptionally well. With the second, third and fourth all winning at least once since, the form looks rock solid.
