It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on what’s happening in the betting markets and we like to keep you informed whenever something significant happens. That’s the case on Tuesday as one runner at Wolverhampton is the subject of sustained market support. The horse in question was as big as 20/1 on Monday evening but 6/1 is the general price currently. Here we take a look at the horse’s chances and consider the dangers. Booziebrunch (6/1, betfred) goes in the opening race on the card, which is a two-year-old maiden over 6f. This son of Coulsty made his debut in a 5f maiden at Yarmouth in April and kept on nicely to finish fourth. He didn’t quite have the pace to challenge that day so the step up to 6f is likely to suit.
Sean Woods’ colt is entitled to step forward for the run anyway and he could improve with that in mind. Clifford Lee has been booked for the ride and you can understand why there’s some market support in his favour here. The two ahead of him in the market probably make this a stronger than usual Wolverhampton maiden but you wouldn’t want to rule Booziebrunch out here.
We’ve tipped Irish raider Ninth Crusade in this race and the Michael O’Callaghan-trained colt has drifted as a result of support for Simon & Ed Crisford’s debutant Comic Strip. O’Callaghan has a very good record here at Wolverhampton and you would imagine he’s not sending Ninth Crusade over for nothing.
