Queen Anne Stakes (Tuesday)

Inspiral (15-8, William Hill) absolutely bolted up in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. Provided she’s equally as effective on the straight mile and if turning up in a similar level of form, she could prove hard to beat. She’s not necessarily the most consistent but she has bundles of ability.

St James’s Palace Stakes (Tuesday)

Chaldean (2-1, Boylesports) was an excellent two-year-old and Andrew Balding’s colt confirmed his promise with victory in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last time. This race looks like the next logical step and he has every chance of completing a famous double.

Duke of Cambridge Stakes (Wednesday)

Laurel (3-1, bet365) was a little disappointing against the boys in the Lockinge Stakes last time out. She’s still very lightly raced and deserves another chance back against her own sex here. This filly has plenty of ability and retains a significant amount of potential.

Queen’s Vase (Wednesday)

Gregory (5-2, bet365) has only seen the racecourse twice and looks very unexposed. He was an easy winner in Listed company at Goodwood last time and the step up in grade looks warranted. His dam won the Park Hill Stakes and this son of Golden Horn should be suited by the step up in trip.

King Edward VII Stakes (Friday)

Arrest (10-1, bet365) looks like a ridiculous price and his performance in the Derby has been taken too literally. His win in the Chester Vase last month indicates that he’s significantly better than that. Definitely capable of bouncing back here, we should see a much better performance.
