In an ideal world, horses would perform to their best level at every track. However, they aren’t machines and this isn’t the case. We’ve found four runners at Bath, Hamilton and Newton Abbot on Monday with excellent records at their respective tracks. The four horses in question have a combined total of 22 course wins between them. This should give them an advantage so we’ve put them into a Lucky 15. Investment Manager (5-1, Paddy Power) has thrived at Newton Abbot over the summer months. He’s a three-time winner here and has only failed to finish in the first three once in seven course starts. Joe Tizzard’s charge was a cosy winner over course and distance in July and should have every chance of getting his head in front again here.
Delagate This Lord (11-2, bet365) has won at Bath no fewer than eight times and the last six of those have come over this extended 5f. All four of his starts so far this season have been at Bath and the nine-year-old has won three of them. Robyn Brisland’s gelding has gone up a further 5lb for winning here last time out but you can’t rule him out once again.
Shine On Brendan (8-1, bet365) has won at Hamilton four times and three of those have come over this extended mile trip. The most recent of those came in August on heavy ground and the soft going here should suit. He’s now back down to his last winning mark, having been below-par in his last couple of starts. There’s plenty in his favour and a big run could be on the cards.
Blue Hero (9-1, Paddy Power) has won here seven times in 13 starts and four of those victories have come this season. It’s been a very successful season for him and he could have another win up his sleeve. The 1m6f trip didn’t suit last time and the return to 1m2f is a big positive.
