There are two competitive meetings on offer in Britain on Wednesday evening. This means there are plenty of runners and each-way opportunities. With this in mind, we’ve selected three outsiders from Kempton and Ripon at substantial prices whose chances aren’t fairly reflected by their odds. These include an interesting 22-1 shot with Hollie Doyle on board. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Awtaad Prince (22-1, William Hill) has only had two handicap starts so far and it’s too early to give up on him. It was an improved effort on soft ground at Goodwood last time out. The handicapper has dropped him 2lb for that run and he should be competitive off this reduced mark of 86. Hollie Doyle takes the ride and that can only be a positive. He won a Leicester novice as a juvenile and several horses in that race have won since.
Justanotherbottle (12-1, William Hill) hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season but he’s very well-treated on the best of his form. Currently rated 92, this mark is 10lb lower than when last winning one. That victory came here at Ripon last June and the quicker conditions here will definitely be to his liking. Winning three of his six starts here, this nine-year-old is course specialist who should put in a much better performance this time around.
Celtic Art (14-1, William Hill) has done well in four starts over hurdles, winning twice. Jeremy Scott’s gelding returns to the all-weather here and he can run a huge race off this mark. Yet to finish outside of the first three in six starts on an artificial surface, he won off this mark of 86 back in January 2022. He has to have a massive chance on that evidence and a huge run is expected.
