‘Early pace is vital’ – three front runners form 112-1 treble at Catterick on Wednesday 🐎

Due to the nature of the track at Catterick, it can be extremely difficult to come from behind to win there. Historically speaking there has always been a severe bias to to those up with the pace. Early pace is so vital and it has to be a significant factor when making selections. With this in mind, we’ve picked out three front runners who’ll be taking their chance at Catterick on Wednesday and combined them into a 112-1 treble. 2.45 Catterick

Bolsover Bill (11-4, bet365) has been incredibly progressive over fences so far this winter. He could hardly be in better form, having pulled off a hat-trick of wins when scoring at Ffos Las last time. Two of those wins came over course and distance which tells us this horse knows what it takes to win here. Making all the running on both occasions, he should make another bold bid from the front here.

3.15 Catterick

Chti Balko (10-1, bet365) last won off a mark of 135 at Haydock in December 2020, by a margin of 26 lengths. His best effort since came back at that same track a year later. Now down to a mark of just 112 and you can almost guarantee that he’ll be forcing the pace. This track will suit his style of racing to a tee and he won his only start here by 40 lengths in a maiden hurdle.

3.45 Catterick

Not What It Seems (7-2, bet365) has some smart form to his name and tends to make the running. Doing so here would give him an excellent chance. Tries 3m1f for the first time here and he’s related to a winner over this trip. Stays fairly well but looks short of gears so the step up in trip could suit. That certainly seemed to be the case on chase debut at Wetherby last time when he was outsprinted and he should go well here.
