‘Don’t give up on him yet’ – 33-1, 28-1, 18-1 and 16-1 all-weather outsiders ☀️🌧️

Wolverhampton Racecourse Stalls

There are a couple of fascinating all-weather meetings at Lingfield and Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon. With plenty of runners on offer, this means there will be each-way opportunities. With this in mind, we’ve selected four outsiders at huge prices that can outrun their odds.

2.10 Wolverhampton

Golden Vintage (16-1, bet365) was below-par at Doncaster last time out but a return to the all-weather should suit her. Jedd O’Keeffe’s filly was narrowly denied when second at Southwell off a mark of 61 on her penultimate start. A repeat of that effort off this 1lb higher rating should put her bang in contention.

3.40 Wolverhampton

King Of Ithaca (18-1, bet365) is already a winner and you shouldn’t give up on him yet. Returning to an artificial surface should suit and he’s sliding nicely down the handicap. This horse finished seventh at Kempton on handicap debut, just over three lengths behind the winner. If replicating that level of performance off this 5lb lower rating, he shouldn’t be far away.

4.00 Lingfield

Into The Spotlight (33-1, bet365) didn’t show much in two starts on turf. There’s enough evidence in her all-weather form to suggest she should be competitive in handicaps off this sort of mark. A two-length fifth off 69 at Wolverhampton in January, she has to be dangerous now, having dropped 12lb in the weights since.

4.30 Lingfield

Kodi Noir (28-1, bet365) won a Fairyhouse maiden for Adrian Murray back in July. He has since switched to the Alice Haynes yard. It was a pretty average effort at Salisbury on debut for the yard and he could probably do with some further assistance from the handicapper. There should be more to come from this horse however and significant improvement could be on the cards.
