We’ve seen a lot more of Colin Keane since he started his new role as retained rider for Juddmonte. That trend is expected to continue and he heads to Sandown for three rides on Friday. All three should have excellent chances so we’ve combined them into a treble, which could be the play of the day. Sandown’s seven-race card is a good mix of Listed and competitive handicap action so don’t miss out. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Publish (3/1, bet365) represents the John & Thady Gosden yard and is set to make his debut here. There’s loads to like about his pedigree, as he’s out of a US Grade 2 winner and by Kingman. The Gosdens have had three winners from 13 previous juvenile runners in Britain so far this season, which isn’t a bad record and Keane has picked him over stablemate Corinth.
Kassaya (11/4, bet365) made her debut in a Salisbury novice last season and showed plenty, eventually finishing second after being very keen early on. Andrew Balding’s filly went one better in fine style at Nottingham but struggled in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot. We haven’t seen her since but 88 could prove to be a very nice mark on handicap debut.
Windlord (9/4, bet365) contested some decent races as a two-year-old and has again been employed as a pacemaker in his last two starts. The drop in grade will be in his favour here, as will the fact that he’ll be ridden to win. His best form suggests that he’s a big contender and the 10lb weight allowance is a significant advantage.
