Willie Mullins is now the champion trainer on both sides of the Irish Sea, taking his dominance to a whole new level. Tuesday marks Day 1 of the Punchestown Festival and he has only one favourite in the three Grade 1 races. This means that you can get an attractive price on his three best chances doing the business.
Can anyone stop the Willie Mullins machine? His utter dominance at every major festival suggests otherwise so this 66/1 treble could be worth a play. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Mystical Power (11/4, William Hill) is about as close as you can get to the perfectly bred racehorse. Out of Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power, he has made an excellent start to his career so far and his sole defeat came in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. The five-year-old returned to winning ways at Aintree and he should give Slade Steel another good race here.
Dinoblue (2/1, William Hill) has established herself as one of the top two-mile chasers around, with some excellent performances this season. She was a dominant winner of the Grade 1 Paddy’s Rewards Club Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas and three of the beaten horses are in opposition once again. It’s hard to see them turning the tables and she’s very much the one to beat.
Embassy Gardens (5/1, William Hill) has taken very well to fences and was impressive in his first couple of starts over the larger obstacles. He easily dispatched Sandor Clegane in a Grade 3 at Naas before finishing second in the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. A bad error at the second last ended his chances of winning and the vet reported that he had an irregular heartbeat. Dropping back in trip should suit and Paul Townend has chosen to ride him over stablemate Sharjah.
