All-weather racing takes centre stage on Good Friday, with all three British meetings taking place on artificial surfaces. Newcastle hosts the All-Weather Championships and it’s a thoroughly competitive seven-race card with loads of prize money on offer. There are several runners heading over from Ireland so we’ve picked out the four most interesting ones and combined them into a massive Lucky 15. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Titanium Emperor really could be anything but he was an impressive winner on debut at Dundalk last month, when winning by three lengths. Adrian Murray’s three-year-old will improve for the run and whilst the step up in class is a significant one, he remains an interesting proposition.
Valiant Force was a surprise 150/1 winner of the Norfolk Stakes at two and has been in good form since the autumn. He bolted up on his first start over a mile at Dundalk recently and should be capable of making his presence felt once again.
Daamberdiplomat represents the Johnny Murtagh yard, who have had several winners in the last fortnight, and he’s one for the shortlist. This son of Cotai Glory was a narrow winner at Dundalk on his penultimate start and Jamie Powell’s 3lb claim certainly won’t go amiss.
Tribal Star was competitive in three starts for Charlie Appleby and managed to get off the mark in a Dundalk maiden for current connections back in November. Lightly raced for a four-year-old, the substantial step up in trip is interesting here and if suitable, it could unlock some improvement.
