Adrian Wall’s Lucky 15 tips: four horses to follow on Thursday

Chelmsford City Racecourse

Adrian Wall knows how to spot a big priced winner and is back with four tasty selections for Thursday’s racing action. The four horses could return a hefty sum for a £1 win unit stake on a Lucky 15.

1.15 Thurles

Aidan O’Brien has two in here and they need to be monitored in the betting but Dermot Weld’s Timiyra should take all the beating. The daughter of Caravaggio finished third in a fillies maiden at the Curragh in June and Ladies Church was behind her that day, a horse that has placed at Group 3 level and won in Listed company since.

1.45 Thurles

Common Practice is a well-bred son of Gleneagles and can improve on his recent efforts upped in distance to a mile here. He was far from disgraced in a Listowel maiden in fourth last month and followed that up with a tame enough effort at Dundalk but he is a major player back on grass on handicap debut.

2.20 Thurles

Notre Belle Bete has proved to be disappointing for supporters, always showing plenty of ability but failing to deliver. The Zoffany colt can finally get off the mark here in the hands of Chris Hayes. He has some top form in the book, fourth to subsequent Group 1 winner Poetic Flare in a Guineas trial on debut, fourth in the Listed Tetrarch Stakes and was flying at the death when second at Cork on his most recent start. The one to beat here back up to a mile.

7.00 Chelmsford

Young claimer Adam Farragher is having a very fruitful spell of late and he can continue his good form aboard Harbour Vision. David Brown’s six-year-old won a 0-75 over course and distance from effectively 6lb higher last September and this 0-70 is an easier assignment, while he also has a lovely draw in one.
