Adrian Wall tries to heal the ‘Monday Blues’ with 194-1 Southwell double

Copper West - Southwell Racecourse

Adrian Wall tipped up a brilliant each-way Lucky 15 the other day that resulted in a 12-1 winner and two big places. That gave his followers some tidy profits but he is now back for more.

This time he will focus on two big priced runners running at Southwell on Monday. He thinks both horses are overpriced and will outrun their large odds.

The double was priced 194-1 with William Hill at the time of posting. These odds can go up or down so make sure you do your research before you place the bet yourself.

3.20 Southwell

This is a very competitive handicap hurdle and a case can be made for at least half of the field. My pin has fallen on the Charlie Mann inmate, Prabeni, a six-year-old Teofilo gelding.

Pulled up when last seen at Newton Abbot in October, he has had a nice little break to freshen up. If he can recapture his August form where he bolted up at Fontwell off a rating of 112, he has to enter the reckoning here.

He likes ground to be good to soft and should have that at Southwell on Monday. Charlie Mann has never saddled a winner at this track from 24 attempts but he has a good chance here.

Five pound claimer Kevin Brogan is a jockey that is going right to the top. I think he could be champion jockey one day. The young man has ridden 19 winners this season and has an 18-per-cent strike rate.

He will take the ride on Katy Price’s Keepscalling, a horse that is making his debut for the stable. The mare is very lightly raced and was last seen finishing runner-up at Taunton in a seller.

She has to progress again but a mark of 100 looks pretty fair and the change of scenery could bring out more improvement.
