Adrian Wall picks out three horses that will love fast ground at Doncaster

We are now in the middle of the summer so fast ground will be a regular offering across Britain’s racecourses. There is a nice six race card to look forward to at Doncaster Racecourse on Friday. Adrian Wall has picked out three horses that should relish the very sound surface. Please take note that it is very possible for the weather to turn. If that does happen, then we may not have fast ground so be aware.

2.45 Doncaster

At first glance, Nomadic Empire is the only horse in the field that is guaranteed to relish the fast ground. He was a winner at Thirsk on a sound surface last August and was twice placed in Listed company subsequently. Getting back on track at York last time out when second to Bedford Flyer, a mark of 98 should be well within his compass.

3.20 Doncaster

Both Tenaya Canyon and Amor De Mi Vida are last time out winners but the former could be the one to side with. The Ed Walker-trained filly loved the quick ground when a nice winner over 5f at Haydock last month. With similar conditions guaranteed, she might be able to overcome the 7lb rise and go on to win again.

3.55 Doncaster

The Jedd O’Keeffe runner Jianzi looks a very big price at first glance and could be worth an each-way play. She won her maiden at Pontefract on a sound surface and although she will need to improve on her recent effort at Redcar, it wasn’t a bad run. Running off a mark of 62, she is now starting to look very well treated.
