There’s plenty of racing to look forward to on Monday, with the new week being ushered in with five meetings! Chepstow, Kempton, Carlisle, Dundalk and Southwell all host strong cards to kick off the week in style.

We might only be in the infancy of the jump’s season, but some trainers are already stamping their authority. One of those is Paul Nicholls, who has farmed races at Chepstow this season.
He’s sent nineteen runners to the venue, with nine of them heading to the winner’s enclosure. That 47% strike-rate equates to a £16.01 profit, a very healthy margin given the yard! He runs four at the venue on Monday and they all have very strong chances.

We’ve seen the promising five-year-old Seelotmorebusiness on the racecourse just once, where he landed a bumper at Ffos Las last month. He created a good impression, beating what looks to be an above-average field.
He looks just the type to improve now he’s faced with obstacles and given his name/pedigree, he has plenty to live up too. It’s no surprise to see him at such a short price and he’s an obvious contender in the opener.
The biggest price of his quartet, Glajou makes his chasing debut after four runs over timber. Two of those came in France for Emmanuel Clayeux, before he moved over to British shores. He’s shown plenty of ability in two starts for Nicholls, latterly when beaten a neck at Newton Abbot.
He caught the eye with the way he travelled that day and his stature suggests he’ll really improve for a fence. Nicholls has wasted no time by sending over the larger obstacles and this opening chasing mark is far from harsh. He faces a tough field, but it would be no surprise for him to play a leading role.
It’s of little surprise to see Brewers Project at odds on for the penultimate race of the afternoon. Winning a Ballyarthur Point to Point back in 2018, he defeated the 139-rated hurdler Umbrigado and the useful chaser Champagne Mystery.
He ran extremely well on hurdling debut at Newbury in November 2019, where he bumped into both Sevarano and It Sure Is. Travelling well on his most recent start at Taunton, he fell from the lead at three from home.
He finds himself in a modest looking contest on seasonal return and it would be a big disappointment if he was unable to get off the mark on this occasion.
It’s a clash of the titans in the final contest, as Nicky Henderson and Nicholls lock horns in the bumper. Henderson has the early favourite, Firestep, but Nicholls has a 31% strike-rate in bumpers this term and will look to bookend the card with Chavez.
He looks the part on paper, with his dam being an unraced half-sister to the useful Florida Express and bumper winner Sumkindasuprstar. His future likely lies over further, but he’s demands obvious respect given from where he hails.
