389-1 Accumulator: three ITV horses who will love fast ground on Saturday

Enable wins the 2017 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes

We have had a great spell of weather so the ground at both York and Ascot is forecasted to be good to firm this weekend. ITV Racing actions gets under way at 1.50pm on Saturday and Adrian Wall has found three horses that should all relish the fast conditions. Please note that the ground can change rapidly so be sure to check that the ground is still fast come post time before you place your bets.

1.50 Ascot

The Karl Burke-trained Attagirl is far too big a price to ignore here. A well-bred Wootton Bassett filly, she relished fast ground when bolting up in a maiden at Haydock at the start of the month. Well backed into 8-11 favourite on the day, a big run was expected and she delivered. This is a huge step up in class but she might be good enough to take it in her stride.

3.00 Ascot

Motakhayyel burst through the field to win the Bunbury Cup for the second time two weeks ago. He has to carry top weight for this but this is a Group performer running in a handicap and he could have too much class for his rivals. A winner of the Buckingham Palace over this course and distance last year and a lover of quick ground, he is the one to beat.

3.15 York

Juan Elcano has improved massively for his wind operation and finally got his head in front in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot last month. This is a tougher assignment and he hasn’t been a trustworthy horse in the past but the hope is that the operation has done wonders for him and he will love the ground.
