37-1 accumulator: four horses set to thrive on good ground at Ludlow on Monday 🏇

Ludlow Racecourse

This week has seen nothing but glorious blue sky and sunshine on the weather front. This has led to most of the tracks experiencing pretty quick going conditions by jump racing standards. Ludlow is one of those tracks and the official going is good for their meeting on Monday. We’ve picked out four horses with proven records on good ground that should thrive in the quick conditions.

Brief Ambition was a prolific winner during a summer campaign last term. The unseasonably dry Autumn meant that his season continued up until November. He is yet to be outside of the first three in six starts on good ground. This includes four wins and he’s unbeaten in two starts over fences. There should be more to come from this gelding who has to be considered as unexposed over the larger obstacles.

Midnights Legacy has had just four starts over hurdles and has failed to finish outside of the first two in both starts on good ground including a victory at Plumpton back in October. He has had two starts on the all-weather this winter which suggests that connections have avoided winter ground. This entire is by far the least exposed horse in the race and should find conditions to his liking.

Bobhopeornohope has looked like a progressive horse in just five starts over fences. There should be more to come from this gelding as he gains experience over the larger obstacles. His record on good ground is two wins from three runs and he is yet to encounter this ground over fences. He’s a better chaser than he was a hurdler so it stands to reason that he should do well in quicker going conditions as he continues to progress.

Gran Luna is a consistent mare with two wins from three starts on good ground. She has good form over a variety of distances so this intermediate trip of an extended 2m5f should pose no problems at all. Her novice hurdle win at Chepstow on good ground came at the expense of two subsequent winners and she should go well here. The Nicky Henderson yard is in frighteningly good form.
