myracing Greyhound Syndicate Update – 9th October 2018

Meenagh Mourinho

This week’s latest syndicate update comes from one of our syndicate managers David Mitchell:

Droopys Nuka Hits The Crossbar Again

Poor old Droopys Nuka isn’t getting the rub of the green at the moment with another runner-up effort on Friday. She showed some lovely early gears rode a few bumps and was eventually beaten by a head. No doubt her time will come soon and our battalion of owners will be shouting her home.

Meenagh Mourinho suffered another defeat on his comeback to full fitness. It wasn’t exactly a shock to us that he wouldn’t win after all he was drawn in T5 where he has a shocking record at the best of times. Once he gets his beloved stripes back we’re sure he’ll be flying high in the top grades once more.

Jacobs Fire on the other hand did what she tends to do best over 6 bends at Crayford. She led the field a merry dance for most of the race just to be caught late on. She’s starting to become a bitch that is stuck in-between trips if only there was a 5 bend race at Crayford she’d be the best of the lot. We still believe she will get the 6 bend trip eventually and we must remember she’s not very old.

Droopys Hyde who has been the star of the show was a non-runner for the syndicate earlier in the week due to a weight variation. What this means is that his weight increased between races more than the required limit. This is down to him having a lot of racing at present and in order to maintain condition he has been getting plenty of hearty meals. He’ll be back in action in the next few weeks for sure.

The Week Ahead

Jacobs Fire runs at Crayford on Thursday.  She’s again tackling the 6 bend trip and if she gets some trouble in-behind she would have a huge shout.

Meenagh Mourinho like Fire he goes on Thursday as well. He’s been drawn the dreaded orange jacket which he seems to dislike the most. It would take a big effort for him to get involved but he’s an A1 dog on his day in an A3 race.

And as always, we’ll have greyhound tips every day through the week too, including any races involving our syndicate dogs.
