Murphy Monday Magic – 36/1 Windsor Treble

Oisin Murphy onboard the filly Out Of The Flames at Windsor

Oisin Murphy has made Windsor his own this year in pursuit of the Jockey Championships’, riding 20 winners at the Berkshire venue.

Having ridden 17 winners over the past fortnight, six clear of his nearest competitor in James Doyle, and nine clear of Title-seeking Danny Tudhope, he is in flying form and landed two of the seven races at yesterday’s meeting.

Closing in on 100 winners for the season, he will no doubt be going all out for further success this evening and has three great chances of winners. As usual, our Horse Racing Tips are available for all four of today’s meetings.

6:30 Making History

Godolphin’s son of Dubawi scored impressively on handicap debut at Leicester over seven furlongs. He was below that level at Newmarket subsequently, however that was in a considerably warmer race.

Back in shallower waters, under the expert guidance of Murphy and stepped up to a mile, he looks sure to go close for a jockey-trainer combination who have partnered three winners from seven runners at this venue over the past year.

7:00 Caradoc

Ed Walker has provided Murphy with two winners from three rides at the venue over the last year, and they look sure to go close here with the lightly raced Caradoc.

A winner of a competitive race at Newmarket two starts back, he backed that up with a close up fourth from this mark. Facing a field of far more exposed rivals, he could easily bounce back to winning ways here.

8:00 Bhangra

A weak five furlong novice race looks an open goal for Robert Cowell’s Bhangra. Related through her dam to two Group One winners and a half sister to three multiple winners, she was seen just once in 2018 when finishing sixth behind one now rated 84, the third placed twice in Pattern company since.

If returning to the track at anywhere near that level, facing a field of rivals with something to prove, this daughter of Showcasing can take this under Murphy.

The treble is best priced at just short of 36/1.
