All-Weather Championships details

The All-Weather Championships is an excellent incentive for owners and trainers to keep their horses running on the artificial surfaces throughout the winter months. It all culminates in Finals Day on Good Friday, which is on 19th April 2019. We will have runner by runner previews and tips for all seven races on the card as well as trends and tips.

There is £1 million in prize money on offer, making the event the richest all-weather raceday ever staged in Europe. Seven high quality races at Lingfield make for a brilliant start to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

An Apprentice handicap gets the day underway before championship races for six different divisions:

Marathon
Fillies’ And Mares’
Sprint
3 Year Old
Middle Distance
Mile

A number of fast-track qualifiers throughout the season enable horses to cement their place in the lineup. Failing to win one of those, a horse must run at least three times on the all-weather in the qualifying period from 23rd October 2018 to the six day entry stage for Finals Day.

Then horses are ordered in terms of their official BHA rating to decide who fills the field.
