It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on the betting as you can learn plenty about the level of market confidence surrounding each horse. Our daily market movers often provide winners but there are never any guarantees in this game. Every so often the money comes for a horse at a level which requires special attention and that’s the case on Wednesday morning.

Rhythm N Hooves is a Royal Ascot winner who achieved a career-high rating of 96 as a three-year-old. The son of Pearl Secret won the Palace Of Holyrood House handicap back in 2023 and got his head in front once again off a mark of 87 in May 2024.
Mondammej heads the market currently and perhaps rightfully so, on the evidence of his two course and distance wins at the back end of last year. Al Farabi, Dark Kestrel and Sugar Hill Babe have live chances and it looks like a competitive race.
Consistency has been an issue for him but he has managed to put in some decent performances off higher marks without winning. Robert Cowell’s five-year-old looks very well treated on his old form and winning this off 82 shouldn’t be beyond him.
We’ve gone for Al Farabi in this race, as Stuart Williams’ runner is arguably less exposed than most. He wasn’t beaten far when fourth in a better race at Southwell last time out and the handicapper has dropped him 1lb since. This is the gelding’s third start for the yard and he should be capable of getting his head in front sooner rather than later.
