Very quirky individual who has refused to race in the past, but there’s no doubt he’s hugely talented. A poor jump at the last cost him a possible victory in the Kim Muir last year and he was last seen unseating in the Grand National. Big weight but a big player here with a clear round.
A repeat of his London National run at Sandown in December would give him a squeak but his overall profile would suggest he is one to avoid.
Stayed on dourly to the line when second in the Welsh National in December. Again got going too late when third in the Grand National Trial at Haydock but is a leading contender upped to 4m2f.
Won this race in 2020 and beat Beauport when winning the London National at Sandown on his penultimate start. This is his fifth run in this race and he might be shoving on too much now.
Won the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown in January and followed up in the Royal Artillery Gold Cup at the same track when last seen. This trip on this ground would be a worry.
Was sent off a well fancied horse for the Welsh National but was pulled up. He reportedly bled so had a valid excuse. Well worth another try and could hit the frame.
Has some very good form which ties in with My Silver Lining when third in the Classic Chase at Warwick when last seen, but didn’t see out this marathon trip when fourth in this last year.
Won a veterans race at Exeter when last seen and did it well, but was pulled up in a Welsh National two years ago and is another with stamina concerns.
Thriving consistent mare who won the Classic Chase at Warwick in January and only bumped into an Irish raider when second to Yeah Man in the Grand National Trial at Haydock when last seen. She should get this trip.
Interesting Irish raider who was second in this race two years ago off an 11lb higher mark. He was sent off favourite when fourth at Limerick latest and is no forlorn hope.
Although second, finished 60 lengths behind Mr Vango in the Devon National when last seen. Has much more on his plate here and would be a surprise winner.
Won at Fakenham in December and again at Fontwell in January, and ran a solid fourth behind Anglers Crag in the Eider at Newcastle when last seen. Has to run from out of the weights but has a squeak.
