Saturday ITV Racing Outsiders: Adrian fancies an Irish raider to run well at 14-1 🙏

Uttoxeter Racecourse

Cheltenham may now be behind us but we still have a cracking day’s racing to look forward to on Saturday. ITV Racing play host to cards from Uttoxeter and Kempton and it should be brilliant competitive action. Adrian Wall has highlighted three horses at big prices who he feels will outrun their large odds. Best of luck if you follow.

2.40 Kempton

Charlie Deutsch is on a crest of a wave at present after Venetia Williams’ fantastic week at Cheltenham. He will ride Paddy’s Motorbike for trainer Sam Thomas in this competitive handicap. The 10-year-old bolted up on handicap chase debut at Fakenham back in October and although he disappointed here over fences when last seen, he is worth another chance back over hurdles running from a rating 5lb lower than his most recent chasing start.

3.00 Uttoxeter

It is no surprise to see an Irish runner in Britain this week as we have been looking at the all week on the television. Nonetheless, Shark Hanlon’s Teescomponentsyess is an interesting runner with valuable claimer Jordan Gainford in the plate. He won a Limerick handicap off 109 over this trip in December and outran his odds of 40-1 when beaten just two lengths in a Fairyhouse handicap in February. Likely to give his running once more, he has to be respected.

3.15 Kempton

Tom Cannon is another rider who had a fantastic week at Cheltenham, winning the Arkle on Edwardstone. Up The Straight has to bounce back from being pulled up at Sundown in January but the ground was bottomless that day and he wasn’t up for the job. Back on better ground, this former course winner should find this a bit easier than some of the races he has participated in in recent times and he is not out of it.
