7.00pm Windsor Tips & Betting Preview 25/07/2016

An exciting Fillies’ Handicap on a Monday night for our race preview to cover and plenty of promising horses for our betting tips to consider with five unexposed 3 year olds in the line up.

In Summary: Inclination has won three in a row and, up six pounds, has a good chance of making that four. However, Syposium has been running consistently and back on her preferred ground with Andrea Atzeni riding is our betting tip for this £10,000 guaranteed contest.

1 Pretty Bubbles – The oldest horse in the race at 7, she’s got an impressive strike rate of 9 wins from 52 races but has generally struggled recently with just one win in her last 17 starts. That win was off a four pound lower mark than today and despite a two month break she doesn’t look as well handicapped as some others in here.

2 Spiraea – Won a Class 3 contest in September nicely over this distance but has struggled since then albeit in higher quality company. Should come on for handicap debut and could run well at a big price but opposable for win purposes.

3 Bint Aldar – Two victories from just five starts so far, including a Class 3 York win over minimum distance. Not seen since finishing last in the Weatherbys Hamilton £300,000 2 Year Old Stakes at Doncaster when 33/1 and while a promising recruit for new trainer Robert Cowell, expect she’ll come on for seasonal reappearance.

4 Inclination – No surprise to see her favourite following three wins (all sent off favourite) on the bounce over 5.5f at Bath and 6f at Salisbury on ground from Good to Good to Firm. Now up 14 pounds from opening handicap mark but won fairly comfortably last time out. First time in a Class 4 and short in the market, and doesn’t look the value bet in this race today.

5 Veena – Five starts to date including a good run at Chelmsford in the Fred Darling Stakes (Group 3) when beaten just over 6 lengths. Rated 86 after that race and handicapper has been quick to drop her to just 77 but beaten over 10 lengths just 9 days ago and needs to refind her winning form.

6 Symposium – Our betting tip for this race, has run well on two starts this season and dropped 1lb. 70,000 guineas foal in 2014 and, being out of Exceed and Excel, should improve for Good to Firm ground. Was sent off just 7/1 for a Class 2 handicap off 77 in October and should have come on for her two runs this season so every chance today.

7 Lucky Di – One of the older horses in the field, boasts 2 wins from 16 starts on the turf (4 from 35 on the All Weather). Has been rated in the mid-70s but never managed to win off a mark this high in a handicap (68 is highest) nor a winner in this class.

8 Shypen – A winner two starts ago at Yarmouth off 68 and sent off favourite for a Class 3 last time out off this same mark when beaten 3.75 lengths. Doesn’t look like connections have foudn her ideal trip yet (has run from 5 furlongs to 8 furlongs) and likely to want further than this unless they go a fierce pace up front which seems unlikely.
