How We Did It

The first selection was Bordeaux Bill for Brian Ellison & Henry Brooke, and despite being tipped at 5/2, the horse drifted all the way out to a starting price of 7/1. That could have put many punters off but we always have the mantra that you should never, ever fear a drifter and it proved true yet again as the 6-year-old made a winning hurdles debut by no less than 11 lengths. A cracking start to proceedings for us.

Next up came Mark Walford’s Mr Snoozy, who was tipped in our Lucky 15 at 10/3 and showed why with a game success at Sedgefield under Jake Greenall. It wasn’t looking great as the eventual runner-up went clear two from home but our selection wasn’t having any of it and despite a mistake at the last, he kept galloping all the way to the line to get his head in-front. 2/2 and things just got even more interesting…

Our third leg, Prime Venture, could only manage to place but the fourth runner Katnap, a 5/1 selection, made it second time lucky for Joseph O’Brien at Leopardstown under more positive tactics. His jumping was much better this time around and he ultimately went on to win quite convincingly under JJ Slevin. That led to a massive BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM for MRT followers and a £335 Lucky 15 return. Get in there!!
