Who Won For Us?

LEG #1 – LAURA BULLION (7/1) > The double started in the 7.40pm at Dundalk and with the filly Laura Bullion. She was held up by Colin Keane and at around the 2f point she started to make some nice headway to close on the leaders. Keane started pushing about 1f out and she responded well, staying on strongly to hit the front and just get the win. The placed horses weren’t far behind but leg one was secured!

LEG #2 – KEN’S SAM’S (7/1) > So it went down to the last race of the night to land our Each Way Double. We needed Ken’s Sam’s in the 8.40pm which was also at Dundalk. It was a similar story in terms of jockey & tactics as Colin Keane held the mare up after she dwelt slightly at the start. He made his move around 2f out but had to switch left around 1f out as the horse hit some trouble and didn’t get a clear run. Once in clear air she ran on well to lead late on and gain the win, 30/1 Each Way Double landed!

14/1 USA ACCA LANDED

LEG #1 – STROLLIN SPREE (5/2) > It was an ideal start to the Acca as Tim Dixon’s gelding pinged out of the plum draw in gate 1 to make all the running. Readily bounding clear in the home straight to give jockey Curtis Kimes a treble on the card!

LEG #2 – L.A. FREEWAY (1/1 NAP) > A good break allowed the eight year old to get a lovely toe into the early part of the race from 25/1 outsider Spring D’Oro before taking it up just before halfway. Still on the bridle after the bend, he eased clear of his rivals and was much the best!

LEG #3 – ANVIL ROCK (11/8 NB) > The final leg of the Acca needed rousting along leaving the gates, but that enabled him to get the lead going into the first turn. Anvil Rock held off the challenge of Winmoneyspendmoney before shooting clear in the straight and wasn’t for catching! WHAT A NIGHT!
