IN SUMMARY: New Agenda won impressively last time and Listen To The Man won a Listed Handicap on her latest start, but they are likely to take each other on at the sharp end which will set this up for AMOUR DE NUIT. He has been deadly consistent over hurdles for Paul Nicholls and wasn’t beaten far in a Group 2 at Chepstow seven days ago, only out-battled by an improver. The form stacks up strongly and he should be very tough to beat with conditions to suit.

1 AMOUR DE NUIT – Has been deadly consistent for Paul Nicholls, finishing second in the Persian War Hurdle at Chepstow last week. A repeat of that performance will see him very tough to beat and with conditions to suit, he can claim another hurdling success.

2 NEW AGENDA – Finished second in this race last year and he arrives here in good heart, making all at Huntingdon comfortably when last seen. He’ll try similar tactics here today and with Richard Johnson taking over, he’s a key player.

3 SAXO JACK – Running solidly well of late for Sophie Leech but his limitations were exposed when a well beaten second behind a useful sort at Bangor last time. He shouldn’t be good enough to win this and is playing for third place.

4 STUCCODOR – Six time winner on the flat but he left Dermot Weld as a six race maiden over hurdles, well beaten at Galway in July 2016. A 448 day break doesn’t read well and he can only be watched here.

5 LISTEN TO THE MAN – Arrives here on a four-timer for Harry Skelton, winning a Listed race at Market Rasen last month in resolute style. She is clearly in great heart and has her conditions, so she is unlikely to be far away.

6 COCKNEY WREN – Odds on when finally getting her head in front at the fourth attempt in bumpers for Harry Fry, with the form nothing to shout about. She faces a very tough task on hurdling debut and can only be watched.
