2.20pm Sedgefield Tips & Betting Preview 28/11/2017

IN SUMMARYROBBING THE PREY ran a lovely race on his first try at chasing and it would be no surprise were he to build on that and get off the mark at the second time of asking over the bigger obstacles. Barrys Jack is on a roll over fences and Derintoher Yank has also been in good form so this will be no walkover in what is an intriguing contest.

1 DELEGATE – Won nicely when turning over the odds-on Roconga at Sligo two starts ago but has since been pulled up and switched from Gordon Elliott to Keith Dalgleish. The latter has had a couple of winners recently and if improving for the switch of scenery his charge would have to have a chance here.

2 DERINTOHER YANK – Has run in three chases so far and has finished in the first two in each of those attempts. He races today off ten pounds higher than his last winning mark but ran an excellent race last time and has clearly relished the switch to fences, unexposed and there is probably more to come.

3 CRACKING FIND – Justified favouritism on his third start over fences last time when a game winner of a handicap by one and a half lengths off two pounds lower. That rise in the weights doesn’t look insurmountable and no surprise if he runs another good race even though this looks a tough race.

4 ROBBING THE PREY – Ran an extremely promising race on his debut over fences last time when beaten just half a length at Sedgefield a few weeks ago. He is entitled to improve plenty for that experience and can go close off a five pound higher mark if jumping with the same zest he showed first time up.

5 BARRYS JACK – Comes here on a four timer having won on chase debut and followed up with a double over hurdles. He is two pounds lower over the bigger obstacles and remains unexposed in this discipline so is certainly one of the likelier winners in an admittedly trappy race.
