IN SUMMARYINDY FIVE is an interesting contender who possesses some useful form and was last seen staying on gamely to open his account over hurdles at the second attempt. He should take some beating and is the selection ahead of the consistent Watcombe Heights who has been as good as ever since returning from a mammoth break, he can pick up some prize money.

Hit The Highway (IRE) | J: Tom Cannon T: Giles Smyly
Looked a smart prospect at the start of his career when winning two novice hurdles and was sent to the Cheltenham Festival for the Albert Bartlett. He failed to live up to those lofty expectations and has only been lightly raced since, he didn't show much last season and unseated on his reappearance so has work to do.

Saffron Wells (IRE) | J: Robbie Power T: Colin Tizzard
Won a handicap hurdle off 122 back in April and came third when attempting to complete the double at Market Rasen. He signed off last season with a solid enough fourth and made his seasonal debut after switching to the Tizzard's last time when fourth again, on a fair mark and could go well.

Billy Dutton | J: Bryony Frost T: Chris Down
A four time winning hurdler from sixteen starts but has only been out of the frame six times in total. He made his seasonal reappearance last time at Chepstow where he was a well beaten sixth and off the same mark he will need to find some improvement if he is to get involved in this company.

Max Do Brazil (FR) | J: Tom Scudamore T: David Pipe
Was racing in France and won two of his starts including when beating the now Dan Skelton trained Optimus Prime. He switched to David Pipe three starts ago and has run in some red hot handicaps but form figures of PPP since coming to Britain are not encouraging and he will need to show something before becoming a betting proposition.

Watcombe Heights (IRE) | J: Charlie Deutsch T: Martin Hill
Finished second off a mammoth break back in August and backed that up with a victory a couple of weeks later at Newton Abbott. He had a short break then and unseated on his reappearance at Ascot before finishing a moderate third in a strong race last time, needs more but is consistent.

Flemcara (IRE) | J: Patrick Cowley T: Emma Lavelle
Ran in three novice hurdles before eventually getting off the mark last time in a handicap by nearly five lengths at Worcester when staying on powerfully to the line. He has been put up eight pounds for that by the handicapper but he looks progressive and may well defy this rise in the weights.

Druid's Folly (IRE) | J: James Best T: Robert Walford
Won back in November 2016 and was well fancied for a few handicaps after that but seemed to lose his way towards the end of the season when pulled up twice in succession. He made his first start for Robert Walford last time and was a moderate fourth, reasonably handicapped but needs to stage a revival.

Cesar Collonges (FR) | J: Adam Wedge T: Evan Williams
A point-to-point winner who has made just three starts under rules so far and got off the mark when getting up by a neck at Carlisle last time out. The second that day has since won so the form looks reasonable and a handicap mark of 115 is not impossible for his first try in handicap company, claims.

Indy Five (IRE) | J: Noel Fehily T: David Dennis
Beat a now 144-rated chaser in his point-to-point and got the better of Midnight Tour to get off the mark over hurdles at the second attempt having been third on debut. David Dennis has had three winners from his last seven runners so this unexposed type is of obvious interest.

Albert D'olivate (FR) | J: Sean Bowen T: Robert Walford
Has made ten starts over hurdles and got his head in front just the once at Chepstow in March off a mark of 109. He is back on that winning mark today but that is off that back of some rather underwhelming efforts after an attempt at chasing, risky but feasibly handicapped.

Ambion Lane (IRE) | J: Nick Scholfield T: Victor Dartnall
Has made nine starts under rules to date and is yet to get his head in front including six goes over timber. He ran an encouraging race when second two starts ago but was pulled up twice before that and never got involved when beaten fifty lengths last time, patchy profile and has questions to answer.
