Having developed an interest in racing whilst in college some years ago, James has worked in many areas of the industry, including a stint hiding his face on radio! From 2008 until 2017, he ran a successful tipping service and has had shares in numerous horses including the wonderful Fast Shot. Unsurprisingly given some of the horses he has bought shares in, his punting passions lie in sprint handicaps on both the turf and All-Weather surfaces!

Cameo Star was a 20/1 winning Value Bet yesterday. View today’s selections below.

5:05 Wolverhampton – King Oswald – 1pt win @ 18/1

KING OSWALD likes it around here with three of his five career wins coming at the track and with a bit of luck in the run, plus a solid pace to sit off, he could pop up again. The now 6-year-old is still above his last two winning marks so he’s not fantastically treated but shaped reasonably well after a nine week break when the race didn’t pan out to suit a couple of weeks ago. Megan Nicholls removing 3lbs helps and this is a hidden class drop too. Against this lot, any double-figured price looks a play.

7:15 Wolverhampton – Machree – 1pt win @ 18/1

I’m in two minds as to whether MACHREE will stay this trip properly if ridden as forward as she wants to be but given the quotes on offer, it’s a risk worth taking. She did keep on at the end of her two most recent outings at Chester, over the extended 5f and 6f as well, but circumstance led to more reserved tactics than usual and stamina remains a question mark. If she stays, her mark won’t be an issue, she is 1-1 on the All-Weather and Callum Shepherd is 2-2 when riding. 18/1 is a decent price!
