Claymore drops into handicap company for just the second time here and Jane Chapple-Hyam’s gelding should be very competitive off a mark of 102. He won a Royal Ascot Group 3 as a three-year-old and should improve for his latest run in a course and distance Listed event.

Friday Win Accumulator Tip
Takt De Touques looks very difficult to oppose and is very much the one to beat, on the evidence of his second at Aintree last time out. He won three bumpers before that and clearly has a decent engine.
Two-time bumper winner Jurancon confirmed his potential when getting the better of subsequent winner Tripoli Flyer in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last month. This looks like an excellent opportunity to follow up and a 6lb penalty shouldn’t be too big an obstacle.
Quebecois won an Exeter bumper in fine style last term and things didn’t quite go to plan in the Champion Bumper. He certainly looked like a potential graded novice hurdler when winning his maiden at Chepstow and the best is yet to come.

Friday Win Lucky 15 Tip
The Doyen Chief showed potential as a novice hurdler, winning two of his four starts last term. It was a fair effort when second at Market Rasen on chase debut and he looks well set to go one better if taking a step forward here.
Handstands got the better of Grade 1 winner Jango Baie when winning a Listed novice hurdle at Huntingdon last season and that form is rock-solid. He’s one of Ben Pauling’s most exciting prospects this season and can get off the mark over fences here.
Claymore drops into handicap company for just the second time here and Jane Chapple-Hyam’s gelding should be very competitive off a mark of 102. He won a Royal Ascot Group 3 as a three-year-old and should improve for his latest run in a course and distance Listed event.
Sober Glory won an Irish point at Bartlemy in good style and the second has since won under rules for Dan Skelton. He looked smart when scoring in a bumper at Chepstow in October and looks well set to go close once again here.

Friday Each Way Double Tip
It was much better from Tea Clipper at Exeter last month and he was only beaten by two lengths back in third. The handicapper has been a little bit harsh in putting him up 1lb but he has more than enough form in the book to suggest he should be winning this.
Dolce Courage makes his debut for James Horton here, having won a couple of novice races by narrow margins for John & Thady Gosden. He wasn’t beaten all that far despite finishing sixth on handicap debut at Kempton in October and that experience won’t be lost on him.
