Meatloaf was useful in bumpers and got off the mark over hurdles at the first time of asking. His two subsequent starts have been a little underwhelming but the step up in trip could help and he can provide Harry Cobden with another winner.
Swift Hawk was an impressive winner on here on his hurdling debut and he hated the ground when a disappointing third at Stratford last time out. The sounder surface should bring out the best in him and 109 looks like a reasonable mark.

Located just two miles south of Taunton, it’s the youngest National Hunt only venue in the country having opened in 1927. Due to the amount of licensed trainers in Somerset, it often attracts decent field sizes of a competitive nature.
Course: A short, oval shaped track with a right-handed circuit of a mile and a quarter. It’s a sharp course and has a very short run-in after the final bend so we don’t want our tips to be caught too far back rounding the home turn.
Feature Race: The Listed Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Taunton’s Christmas/New Year fixture is the venue’s feature contest that we have tips for. Maria’s Benefit won the 2017 renewal by a huge thirty lengths!
